5: The Investigator – The Need to Know

Investigators are motivated to avoid problems in life by knowing everything they can about their niche within the world.  They mistakenly believe this knowledge will prevent them from pain, and sometimes can struggle with being present in/to relationships.  Their frequent strategy to hardships in life is to withdraw and depend on themselves.

Early in life, 5s internalize that the world takes more than it gives, which can lead them to be stingy with their time, emotions, etc.  5s are, at their best, innovators who upset the status quo of their chosen field.

If 5s wish to grow, they will need to learn how to not simply let their guard down, but invite people into their lives by sharing their personal thoughts and emotions.  They will need to recognize the ways that scarcity is a myth and that there is an abundance that can be found in life.
