Grave’s Spiral Dynamics
Spiral Dynamics is a psycho-social-environmental developmental theory that was first formulated in 1945 when Clare Graves wrote his PhD dissertation.
It posits that humans grow through different value systems according to their mental maturity, social circles, and living arrangements. The stages each build upon one another, and the basic idea that I am putting forth is that we are prone to interpreting our Christianity through a particular value system rather than understanding Christianity as a commitment to constantly growing and “putting on the mind of Christ.”
